Due to the computing power required for chat analysis, the Helmit app is currently only available as software for laptops. This is why the app cannot be found in the App Store or Play Store. We are working with full energy to make the app available on smartphones for parents soon.

Does the app work when the device is turned off?

Accepted Answer

For the app to detect dangers in real-time, the device must be turned on. However, all messages sent during downtime will be analyzed afterwards once the laptop is turned on again. Helmit runs unobtrusively in the background and can also start automatically in the background when the laptop boots up through the app settings. This means it's sufficient to open the app once a day.

Yes. Helmit uses AI models that recognize not only specific words but also intentionally altered spellings. Hidden meanings of emojis are also evaluated in the context of the conversation.
